From challenge to
completed project
A large-scale crypto mining operation in Rockdale, Texas needed a power backbone that could carry its full electrical load from the day it went live. Spark Power delivered the work as a full EPC engagement, building new high-voltage infrastructure and rebuilding the site’s existing substations. Everything was tested and commissioned before energization.
How we
solved it
- Engineered the site’s power system as a whole, designing new and existing substations and MV distribution together.
- Combined new construction with rebuilding existing substations, so capacity came from both new and upgraded infrastructure.
- Procured all major equipment in-house, keeping lead times and specifications under Spark Power’s control.
- Brought transformer capacity close to the load, with a low-voltage transformer network feeding the mining units directly.
- Completed acceptance testing and commissioning before operational go-live, proving the system before it carried load.
